Project Improvements
Looking back on this project, I see ways to make it more engaging by adding gamification features like badges, levels, and rewards to keep users motivated and excited. Adding family collaboration options, like shared goals, friendly challenges, and teamwork on chores, could turn the app into something that brings families together. On top of that, improving connectivity by smoothing out the flow between sections and refining the UI would make the experience feel more seamless and user-friendly.
Grow Coin empowers kids aged 8-12 to build financial literacy and entrepreneurial skills through interactive money management, earning activities, and engaging business simulations.
With parents teaching through advice and giving examples, many were left with knowledge and slowly learned when they decided to take action for themselves.
Users can view and manage the rewards that children are saving up for, making it simple to track progress and encourage financial responsibility.
Users have an option to add desired rewards, boosting children's motivation to save and manage their money effectively.
Users can earn more by maintaining daily streaks through completing required chores or responsibilities. The system tracks and rewards consistent completion.
Users can take on additional jobs to boost their earnings, request specific tasks and rewards for parental approval, and submit photos to confirm job completion.
Users can access interactive lessons on earning money, exploring various ways to generate income, and understanding basic business concepts.
Users can apply their knowledge by planning their own business, guided through structured lessons that help them develop and manage their entrepreneurial ideas.
Users can purchase rewards and fun items and/or materials and tools for their entrepreneurial ventures, supporting their business activities.
Parents receive notifications of transactions and can review and approve purchases, ensuring they manage and facilitate the buying process.

“Gen Zers that want to make the most out of their finances also must adopt a mindset of personal responsibility and self-empowerment.”
- Sam Bocetta
According to Fee Stories and Greenlight Financial Tech, Gen Zers lack confidence in their financial literacy. Learning investing from the internet and videos, but stop at a beginner level of understanding.

How satisfied are they with their level of financial literacy?
Being able to pick up some knowledge on how to manage their finances through self-research and peers/friends, many turn out to be pretty satisfied with their level of financial literacy. Making speculations about those who aren’t satisfied, it’s safe to say that they weren’t exposed to finance growing up or they lacked the action to learn more in-depth with it.
